Exclusive — Trump-Endorsed Ed Gallrein: Thomas Massie a ‘Roadblock’ to the Agenda Americans Voted For

———————————————————————————————————————
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has been making waves in Washington as a staunch defender of constitutional principles and a vocal critic of government overreach. However, his actions have not sat well with President Donald Trump and his supporters who see him as a major obstacle to the implementation of the Trump agenda.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Saturday, Ed Gallrein, the Trump-endorsed challenger to Massie, spoke out about the congressman and why he believes Massie is a “roadblock” to the agenda that Americans overwhelmingly voted for.

Gallrein, who is a Kentucky businessman and farmer, has received the support of President Trump in his bid to unseat Massie in the upcoming Republican primary election. During the interview, he highlighted Massie’s record of opposing the President’s policies, including his vote against Trump’s emergency border funding and his decision to block a voice vote on the coronavirus relief package.

“It’s been an enlightening process going around the district and talking to people who have voted for him, who support him, and they’re all frustrated,” Gallrein said. “They don’t know why he’s doing this. They don’t know why he’s attacking the President’s agenda that we all voted for.”

Gallrein pointed out that Massie’s actions are not in line with the views and desires of the majority of Americans who voted for President Trump. He noted that Massie’s decision to block the voice vote on the coronavirus relief package caused a major setback in getting much-needed aid to struggling Americans during these unprecedented times.

“The President was elected to drain the swamp and to bring common-sense solutions to our country,” Gallrein said. “And unfortunately, Mr. Massie is a roadblock to that agenda.”

Gallrein also criticized Massie for his failure to support the President during the impeachment proceedings, stating that Massie’s actions only served to embolden the Democrats and weaken the President’s position.

“He did not stand with the President during that process,” Gallrein said. “And that’s what really matters to the people in this district, is that the President has someone in Congress standing by his side and fighting for him.”

Gallrein’s comments echo those of many Trump supporters who have grown increasingly frustrated with Massie’s actions in Congress. They see him as a roadblock to the progress and change that they voted for when they elected President Trump.

It is clear that Massie’s decisions have not only angered his constituents but also the President himself. Trump has not been shy about expressing his disdain for Massie, even going as far as calling him a “disaster for America” on Twitter.

In response to Gallrein’s statements, Massie’s campaign released a statement claiming that Gallrein is “being used by the establishment” to unseat Massie. The statement further claims that Massie has the full support of President Trump and that his voting record aligns with the President’s agenda.

However, it is clear that Gallrein’s message has struck a chord with the people in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District. Massie, who has been in office since 2012, has not faced a challenger with the backing of the President before. And with the primary election just around the corner, it will be interesting to see if Trump’s support for Gallrein will make a difference in unseating Massie.

In the end, it is up to the voters in Kentucky’s 4th District to decide if they want a representative who works with the President to advance his agenda or one who consistently blocks it. But one thing is for sure – the American people deserve a representative who will stand by the President’s side and fight for their best interests, not someone who serves as a roadblock to progress. After all, that is what they voted for in 2016.
