Jets has Some Scope to land Nicholls tenth Greatwood gold

As we approach the highly anticipated Cheltenham Festival, it’s time to buckle up and make the most of the remaining weekends before the greatest four days on turf. This Saturday, we have an array of jumps action to look forward to from Newbury, Doncaster, and Kelso, and with it, some exciting ante-post propositions that could potentially fill our pockets.

Trainers all around the country are gearing up for the Cheltenham Festival, and their horses are showing promising form in the lead-up races. This is the perfect time for us punters to start assessing the field and identifying potential winners who could bring us a handsome return on our bets.

Newbury’s action kicks off with the Betfair Hurdle, one of the most prestigious races on the jumps calendar. This year’s field is full of talented horses, but one that stands out to me is the Colin Tizzard-trained, Elixir De Nutz. The six-year-old has already had a successful season, winning three out of his four starts, and finishing a close second in the other. With his excellent form and the trainer’s record at this race, Elixir De Nutz could be a strong contender for the Betfair Hurdle.

Moving on to Doncaster, we have the Sky Bet Chase, where we’ll see horses compete over three miles for a chance at the £75,000 prize money. One horse that catches my eye is the Paul Nicholls-trained, Saint Xavier. The eight-year-old has been steadily improving this season, and his recent win at Wincanton is a testament to his potential. With Nicholls’ expertise and Saint Xavier’s form, I believe he could be a strong contender for the Sky Bet Chase.

Meanwhile, Kelso hosts its flagship race, the Premier Chase, with a generous prize fund of £50,000 up for grabs. One horse that stands out to me is the Nicky Richards-trained, Simply Ned. The Irish-bred gelding has an excellent record at Kelso, winning the last two runnings of the Premier Chase. With his consistent form at this track, Simply Ned could be a strong contender for a hat-trick win this year.

Aside from these specific races, there are also some intriguing ante-post propositions for the Cheltenham Festival. One horse that has caught my attention is the Willie Mullins-trained, Allaho. The five-year-old has shown impressive form in his two starts this season, winning both convincingly. With his strong jumping ability and Mullins’ record at the Festival, Allaho could be a potential dark horse in the highly competitive RSA Chase.

Another exciting ante-post proposition is the Henry de Bromhead-trained, Honeysuckle. The unbeaten six-year-old mare has been nothing short of impressive in her four starts over hurdles, and her recent win at Fairyhouse has put her in the spotlight for the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. With her unbeaten record and de Bromhead’s excellent training record, Honeysuckle could be a force to be reckoned with at the Festival.

As we approach the Cheltenham Festival, it’s essential to keep an eye on the form of these horses and their trainers. The Festival is known for its unpredictable nature, and anything can happen on the day, but it’s always good to have a few ante-post bets in your pocket to add to the excitement.

So, as we gear up for the greatest four days on turf, let’s make the most of the remaining weekends and fill our coffers with these promising ante-post propositions. With talented trainers and impressive horses, this year’s Cheltenham Festival is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. Let’s get ready to cheer on our selections and enjoy the thrilling action that only the Cheltenham Festival can deliver.
