President Xi Jinping of China expressed his deep concern and sorrow over the ongoing conflict in Gaza during a meeting on Wednesday, according to state media. The Chinese leader’s comments come as the international community continues to call for an end to the violence and a peaceful resolution to the crisis.

President Xi Jinping stated that China is “deeply pained” by the “extremely severe” situation in Gaza, where the death toll has risen to over 200, including many innocent civilians. He emphasized the need for all parties involved to exercise restraint and work towards a ceasefire to prevent further loss of life.

The Chinese leader also stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of the conflict and finding a long-term solution that will bring lasting peace and stability to the region. He called on the international community to play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue and promoting a peaceful resolution.

President Xi Jinping’s remarks come as China has been actively involved in efforts to de-escalate the situation in Gaza. China has called for an immediate ceasefire and has provided humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people affected by the conflict.

China has also been working closely with the United Nations and other international organizations to provide assistance and support to the people of Gaza. The Chinese government has pledged to provide $1 million in emergency humanitarian aid to help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

President Xi Jinping’s statement reflects China’s longstanding position of advocating for a just and peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. China has consistently called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

China has also emphasized the importance of respecting the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved and promoting dialogue and negotiations as the only way to achieve a lasting solution to the conflict.

President Xi Jinping’s words of compassion and concern for the people of Gaza demonstrate China’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. China firmly believes that all countries, big or small, have a responsibility to contribute to the maintenance of international peace and security.

As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China has always upheld the principles of fairness, justice, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries. China has consistently called for the international community to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations and to refrain from any actions that may escalate tensions or lead to further violence.

President Xi Jinping’s statement also highlights China’s role as a responsible global leader and a staunch supporter of multilateralism. China firmly believes that the international community must work together to address global challenges and promote common development and prosperity.

In conclusion, President Xi Jinping’s words of concern and compassion for the people of Gaza demonstrate China’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region. China will continue to work with the international community to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict and provide assistance to those affected by the ongoing violence. Let us all join hands and work towards a better future for the people of Gaza and the entire Middle East.
