Country Singer Zach Bryan Attacks Erika Kirk and TPUSA Over ‘All America Halftime Show’

February 11, 2026
in Americas

Country music fans were left shocked and confused when up-and-coming artist Zach Bryan took to Instagram to express his displeasure with fellow musician Kid Rock and conservative organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA). Bryan, who has gained a loyal following for his raw and emotional lyrics, shared a now-deleted post attacking Kid Rock and TPUSA over their performance at the Super Bowl halftime show.

The controversy began when TPUSA was announced as the sponsor of the “All America Halftime Show” at the Super Bowl. The organization, known for its conservative values and support of President Donald Trump, received backlash from some fans who felt that politics should not be involved in a sporting event. However, many were excited to see Kid Rock take the stage and perform some of his hit songs.

But for Zach Bryan, the excitement quickly turned to anger. In his Instagram post, he called out TPUSA and its founder Charlie Kirk, accusing them of using the Super Bowl as a platform to spread their political agenda. He also took aim at Kid Rock, labeling him as “trash” and accusing him of not staying true to his roots as a country musician.

The post, which has since been deleted, sparked a heated debate among fans and followers of both Bryan and Kid Rock. Many were disappointed in Bryan’s outburst, citing the importance of freedom of speech and differing opinions in the country music community. Others defended his right to express his views and praised him for standing up against what he saw as an injustice.

However, what was most surprising was the response from TPUSA and Kid Rock themselves. In a statement to Breitbart, TPUSA’s Director of Communications, Erika Kirk, addressed Bryan’s post, saying, “We are disappointed to see an artist attack another artist and a respected organization simply for expressing their beliefs.” She also clarified that the “All America Halftime Show” was not meant to be a political statement, but rather a celebration of American values.

Kid Rock also responded to Bryan’s post, taking a more lighthearted approach. In a post on Instagram, he shared a photo of himself and Bryan with the caption, “I guess I’ll have to start wearing my MAGA hat on stage now.” Many fans saw this as a way to diffuse the situation and show that there are no hard feelings between the two artists.

Despite the controversy, the Super Bowl halftime show went on as planned, with Kid Rock performing some of his biggest hits to the delight of the audience. And while Bryan may have deleted his post, the conversation surrounding it has brought attention to the intersection of politics and country music.

In a genre that has always prided itself on being a voice for the everyday American, it’s not surprising that some artists feel a responsibility to speak out on political issues. However, it’s also important to remember that music is a form of art and should not be used as a tool to divide or attack others.

As fans, we can appreciate and support artists who use their platform to spread a positive message, but we should also respect their right to express their opinions, even if we may not agree with them. And in a time where political tensions are high, it’s more important than ever to promote unity and understanding, rather than division and hatred.

In the end, it’s clear that the Super Bowl halftime show was about more than just music. It was about celebrating American values and coming together as a community, regardless of our differences. And perhaps that’s the most important lesson we can take away from this controversy – the power of music to bring people together, even in the midst of disagreement.
