DOJ to Probe Trashing of California Parochial School to See if It’s Yet Another Catholic Hate Crime

February 5, 2026
in Americas

In a disturbing incident, a parochial school in California was recently vandalized by unknown perpetrators. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among federal authorities, who are now launching an investigation to determine whether this was yet another hate crime against the Catholic community.

The incident, which took place at the St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sacramento, involved the breaking of windows, damaging of school property, and graffiti with anti-Catholic messages. This is not the first time that Catholic institutions have been targeted by vandals and criminals, and it is a cause for alarm.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced that they will be looking into this incident to see if it is linked to the recent surge of attacks on Catholic institutions across the country. These attacks have increased significantly during the Biden administration and following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

This is not just a matter of vandalism; it is a targeted and deliberate attack on the Catholic community. The fact that these incidents have increased during the current administration and after the Supreme Court’s decision is a cause for concern. It is clear that there is a growing intolerance towards Catholics and their beliefs, and it needs to be addressed immediately.

The Catholic community has been a target of hate and discrimination for centuries, and it is disheartening to see that it is still prevalent in today’s society. Catholics have always been a peaceful and law-abiding community, and they should not have to live in fear of being targeted for their faith.

The DOJ’s decision to investigate this incident is a step in the right direction, and it sends a strong message that hate crimes against any community will not be tolerated. It is essential that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions.

Furthermore, the Catholic community has been a strong advocate for the protection of human life, and their stance against abortion has been well-known. With the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, it is possible that this attack on the parochial school was a form of retaliation. This is unacceptable and goes against the principles of a democratic society.

The Catholic Church has always been at the forefront of promoting peace and harmony, and it is disheartening to see that they are being targeted in such a manner. The Church’s teachings on love, forgiveness, and compassion should serve as an example for all, and it is unacceptable that they are being attacked for it.

It is important for the government and society as a whole to condemn these acts of hate and stand in solidarity with the Catholic community. We must promote a culture of respect and understanding for all religions and beliefs. Violence and discrimination have no place in a civilized society, and it is our duty to ensure that all individuals and communities are treated with dignity and respect.

In conclusion, the DOJ’s decision to investigate the trashing of the parochial school in California is a step in the right direction. It is crucial that we address the growing trend of hate crimes against the Catholic community and promote a culture of tolerance and acceptance. The Catholic community deserves to practice their faith without fear of being targeted and discriminated against. Let us stand united against hate and work towards a society where all individuals and communities are valued and respected.
