Joy Reid Fumes over Trump’s White House Ballroom: ‘Raze Every Edifice He’s Built’

November 1, 2025
in Americas

Joy Reid, former host of MSNBC, has recently made some controversial statements about former President Donald Trump. In her latest tirade, Reid declared that not only does she want every bit of Trump’s legacy erased, but she also wants his home in Florida turned into a leftist museum. This comes as no surprise, as Reid has been a vocal critic of Trump for years, constantly hurling insults and accusations at him on her show.

Reid’s latest outburst was sparked by a visit to the White House’s State Dining Room, where Trump hosted a lavish affair for the Republican National Committee. In her MSNBC segment, Reid fumed over the grandeur of the event and declared that every inch of the White House belongs to the American people. She went on to say, “We need to take a wrecking ball to the White House and raze every edifice that he’s built.”

While Reid’s rhetoric may sound extreme, it is reflective of the hate-filled and divisive tone that has plagued our political discourse in recent years. It seems that some individuals, like Reid, are so consumed with their disdain for Trump that they are unable to see anything positive he has done during his presidency.

But let’s take a step back and look at the facts. Trump’s time in office was marked by a strong economy, record-low unemployment rates across various demographics, and significant strides in foreign policy. He also signed historic criminal justice reform legislation and supported historically black colleges and universities. These are all accomplishments that have positively impacted the lives of millions of Americans and cannot be simply erased or dismissed.

Turning Trump’s home in Florida into a leftist museum is not only a childish and petty idea, but it also goes against the very principles of our democracy. We live in a country that values diversity of thought and opinion. Trying to erase or silence those who do not align with our own beliefs is not only hypocritical but also dangerous.

Moreover, this call to erase Trump’s legacy and turn his home into a museum is a clear attempt to rewrite history. History is not meant to be rewritten according to the current political climate or by those in positions of power. It is meant to be studied and learned from, both the good and the bad. Erasing aspects of our past, even if they are unpleasant, only serves to hinder our progress as a society.

Furthermore, Reid’s call to “take a wrecking ball” to the White House is a symbol of the extreme and destructive mentality adopted by some individuals in our country. It is a call for a complete obliteration of the other side, instead of finding common ground and working together for the betterment of our nation.

It’s time for us to move away from this toxic rhetoric and focus on finding solutions to the issues facing our country. While it is understandable to have differences of opinion and political ideologies, it is important to remember that at the end of the day, we are all Americans. We should be working towards unity and progress, not destruction and division.

In conclusion, Joy Reid’s latest demands to erase Trump’s legacy and turn his home into a leftist museum are not only petty and immature but also go against the very foundations of our democracy. It’s time for us to focus on the positive and work towards a better future instead of dwelling on the negativity of the past. Let’s come together as a nation and move forward towards a brighter tomorrow.
