Nolte: Gavin Newsom Melts Down After President Trump Says ‘Great’ If Tom Homan Arrests the Governor

June 10, 2025
in Americas

Governor Gavin Newsom has been making headlines recently for his heated feud with President Donald Trump. This comes as no surprise, as Newsom has been known for his controversial statements and actions since taking office in January 2019.

However, what is truly concerning is that Newsom seems more focused on winning the social media wars than actually addressing the pressing issues facing his state of California. Despite being the fifth largest economy in the world, California is facing a multitude of problems, from homelessness and high taxes to wildfires and power outages.

Instead of tackling these issues head on, Newsom seems to be more interested in gaining attention and popularity on social media platforms. His recent meltdown after President Trump suggested that former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan arrest him is a prime example of this.

President Trump made the comment during a roundtable discussion on California’s sanctuary city policies, where Newsom was also present. When asked about Newsom’s stance on the issue, President Trump responded, “I think he’s doing a terrible job. If you want to arrest him, that’s OK with me.”

Instead of brushing off the comment or responding in a mature and professional manner, Newsom took to Twitter to express his outrage. He called President Trump’s statement a “racist dog whistle” and accused him of trying to “bully” and “intimidate” him.

This type of behavior from a governor is not only unbecoming, but also a waste of time and energy. Instead of engaging in petty arguments on social media, Newsom should be working towards finding solutions for the problems that are plaguing California.

Homelessness is one of the biggest issues facing the state, with over 150,000 people living on the streets. The cost of living in California is also extremely high, with many residents struggling to make ends meet. The state also has some of the highest taxes in the country, making it difficult for businesses to thrive and for individuals to save money.

Moreover, California has been hit hard by devastating wildfires in recent years. Instead of focusing on implementing effective solutions to prevent and manage these fires, Newsom has been more concerned with blaming President Trump for not doing enough to address climate change.

In addition, California has been experiencing frequent power outages due to the state’s outdated and poorly maintained electrical grid. Instead of working to modernize and improve the grid, Newsom has been busy fighting with the Trump administration over environmental regulations.

It is clear that Governor Newsom’s priorities are not in line with the needs of his state. Instead of being a leader and finding solutions, he is more interested in playing the victim and engaging in political theatrics.

It is time for Governor Newsom to put aside his personal feelings and work towards bringing peace and prosperity to California. This can only be achieved by addressing the real issues at hand and working with all stakeholders, including the federal government.

As citizens of California, we deserve a governor who is focused on improving our lives and making our state a better place to live. It is time for Governor Newsom to step up and do his job, instead of being more concerned with winning the social media wars. The people of California are counting on him to lead with integrity and make the tough decisions necessary to bring about positive change.
