Elon Musk Says to ‘Kill’ Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill After EV Tax Credit Conflict Exposed

June 5, 2025
in Americas

Elon Musk, the renowned entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has once again made headlines with his bold stance against the policies of the Trump administration. In a recent social media post, Musk called on his followers to take action against President Trump’s proposed Big Beautiful Bill, which has been met with widespread criticism and controversy.

The Big Beautiful Bill, also known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, is a proposed legislation that aims to reform the current tax system in the United States. While it has been touted by the Trump administration as a means to boost economic growth and create jobs, it has faced backlash from various sectors, including the renewable energy industry.

One of the major concerns surrounding the bill is its impact on the electric vehicle (EV) industry. The bill proposes to eliminate the federal tax credit for EVs, which currently provides a $7,500 incentive for consumers who purchase electric cars. This has caused alarm among EV manufacturers and advocates, who argue that the removal of the tax credit would hinder the growth of the EV market and undermine efforts to combat climate change.

Elon Musk, who has long been a vocal advocate for sustainable energy and electric vehicles, took to Twitter to express his opposition to the Big Beautiful Bill. In a tweet, he urged his followers to “KILL the BILL” and called on them to lobby their representatives to reject the proposed legislation.

This is not the first time that Musk has clashed with the Trump administration over environmental policies. In June 2017, he resigned from President Trump’s advisory council after the US withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement. Musk has also been a vocal critic of the administration’s stance on renewable energy and climate change.

Musk’s call to action has been met with overwhelming support from his followers and the wider EV community. Many have taken to social media to express their gratitude for his efforts in defending the EV tax credit and promoting sustainable transportation.

The EV tax credit has been instrumental in driving the growth of the EV market in the US. According to a report by the International Council on Clean Transportation, the tax credit has helped to increase EV sales by 60% per year since 2010. It has also encouraged more automakers to invest in electric vehicle technology, leading to a wider range of models for consumers to choose from.

The potential removal of the tax credit has raised concerns not only for the EV industry but also for the environment. Electric vehicles play a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change. The elimination of the tax credit would not only hinder the growth of the EV market but also hinder progress towards a more sustainable future.

In light of these concerns, Musk’s call to “KILL the BILL” is a necessary and timely reminder for all of us to take action and defend the future of sustainable transportation. As individuals, we have the power to make a difference by contacting our representatives and voicing our support for the EV tax credit.

Moreover, Musk’s stance against the Big Beautiful Bill is a testament to his unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable energy and fighting climate change. Despite facing challenges and criticism, he continues to push the boundaries of innovation and inspire others to do the same.

In conclusion, Elon Musk’s call to action against the Big Beautiful Bill serves as a wake-up call for all of us to stand up for what we believe in and take action for a better future. Let us join him in his fight to protect the EV tax credit and pave the way for a more sustainable and cleaner world. As Musk himself said, “The future of humanity is going to bifurcate in two directions: Either it’s going to become multiplanetary, or it’s going to remain confined to one planet and eventually there’s going to be an extinction event.” The choice is ours.
