‘We will never bow to Indian hegemony’: Pakistan military spox

in Asia

Pakistan’s top military spokesperson has strongly denied any involvement of Pakistani forces in the recent attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. In a statement issued on Saturday, the spokesperson rebuked India for making baseless accusations and urged for a peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

The spokesperson’s statement comes in response to India’s claims that the attack in Pulwama, which claimed the lives of over 40 Indian soldiers, was carried out by a Pakistan-based terrorist group. India had even called for international isolation of Pakistan, accusing the country of harboring and supporting terrorists.

However, the spokesperson categorically rejected these allegations, stating that Pakistan has always been a victim of terrorism and is committed to eradicating this menace from its soil. He also emphasized that Pakistan has taken numerous measures to curb terrorism, including launching military operations against militant groups.

The spokesperson also pointed out that Pakistan has consistently called for dialogue and peaceful resolution of all issues with India. He expressed disappointment at India’s refusal to engage in talks and instead resorting to blame game and aggressive rhetoric.

The spokesperson further stated that Pakistan’s armed forces are a professional and responsible force, and any allegations of their involvement in cross-border attacks are baseless and fabricated. He urged India to refrain from spreading false propaganda and instead focus on addressing the root causes of the ongoing conflict.

The recent attack in Pulwama has escalated tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with both countries engaging in cross-border shelling and air strikes. The situation has raised concerns globally, with the international community urging both countries to exercise restraint and find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Pakistan has repeatedly called for the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir, which call for a plebiscite to determine the region’s future. The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s stance, stating that the only solution to the Kashmir issue is through dialogue and in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The spokesperson’s statement has been widely welcomed by the Pakistani people, who have been expressing their support for the armed forces and their commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty. The statement has also been praised by global leaders, who have urged for de-escalation of tensions and resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan.

It is high time for both countries to set aside their differences and work towards establishing a lasting peace in the region. The ongoing conflict has only brought suffering and devastation for the people of Kashmir, and it is imperative for both countries to prioritize the well-being of the Kashmiri people.

In conclusion, Pakistan’s top military spokesperson’s strong rebuke to India’s baseless accusations is a clear message that Pakistan is committed to peace and will not be provoked by aggressive actions. It is now up to India to respond positively and engage in meaningful dialogue to resolve the longstanding issues between the two countries. Only through peaceful means can we achieve a stable and prosperous South Asia.
