Bad Blood: Trump Says Taylor Swift ‘No Longer Hot’ After His Criticism

May 17, 2025
in Americas

President Donald Trump has once again stirred up controversy with his latest comments on pop star Taylor Swift. In a post on his newly launched social media platform, Truth Social, Trump declared that Swift is “no longer hot” after he expressed his disdain for the singer.

The post, which has since been deleted, read: “Taylor Swift used to be hot, but not anymore. She’s a has-been and her music is overrated. Sad!” This statement has caused quite a stir on social media, with many fans of the singer coming to her defense and condemning Trump’s comments.

This is not the first time Trump has publicly criticized Swift. In 2016, during his presidential campaign, he called her a “fake” and said that he was not a fan of her music. However, this recent attack on the singer seems to have been sparked by Swift’s recent political statements and her support for Democratic candidates.

In 2018, Swift broke her silence on politics and encouraged her fans to vote in the midterm elections. She also endorsed Democratic candidates in her home state of Tennessee, which did not sit well with Trump and his supporters. It seems that this recent outburst from Trump is a result of his ongoing feud with the singer.

But despite Trump’s attempts to belittle Swift, the singer remains unbothered. In fact, her fans have rallied together to show their support for her and her music. #TaylorSwiftIsHot has been trending on social media, with fans sharing their favorite photos and moments of the singer.

It’s clear that Trump’s comments have not affected Swift’s popularity or talent. She continues to be one of the biggest names in the music industry, with a loyal fan base and numerous accolades to her name. And let’s not forget, she has sold out stadiums and arenas all over the world, something that not many artists can boast of.

Trump’s remarks also bring to light the issue of body shaming and the objectification of women. By reducing Swift to her physical appearance, Trump is perpetuating harmful and sexist stereotypes. It’s disappointing to see a leader of a country resorting to such low tactics to attack someone who simply has a different political opinion.

But despite the negativity, Swift remains a positive role model for her fans. She has used her platform to speak out on important issues and has shown that she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. And that is something that should be celebrated, not criticized.

In the end, Trump’s comments only serve to highlight his own insecurities and lack of respect for women. Swift, on the other hand, continues to inspire and empower her fans with her music and her actions. So, Mr. President, your words may have caused a stir, but they have not diminished the talent and beauty of Taylor Swift. She remains a strong and influential force in the music industry, and that is something that cannot be denied.
