On Saturday, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, made a historic visit to the 800,000-square-metre Shanghai Film Studios and Film Park in the town of Shidon, China. This visit marks a significant moment as it strengthens the ties between the two nations and opens up new opportunities for collaboration in the world of media and entertainment.

The Sharjah delegation, led by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, was welcomed by a high-level delegation from the Shanghai Film Group, headed by Mr. Ren Zhonglun, Chairman of the Group. The visit was also attended by Mr. Tariq Saeed Allay, Director of Sharjah Media City (SHAMS), and other officials from the Sharjah government and media sector.

The studio has played host to several high-profile productions, including the award-winning Chinese movie “The Grandmaster” and the upcoming American action film “Escape Plan 2”.
