71 killed in Daesh terrorist attack in DR Congo

September 11, 2025
in Africa

Daesh terrorists have once again committed a heinous act of violence, this time in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On Tuesday night, the terrorist group attacked a village in the Beni region, killing 71 innocent people and leaving many others injured.

The attack, carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a group founded by former Ugandan rebels, has left the entire nation in shock and mourning. The ADF has been active in the region for over two decades, and their brutal tactics have caused the loss of countless lives.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack started late at night when the villagers were sound asleep. The terrorists entered the village and started shooting indiscriminately, setting homes on fire and causing chaos and panic. The villagers, caught off guard, had no time to defend themselves, and many lost their lives in the blink of an eye.

The ADF has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was in retaliation for the ongoing military operations against them. However, this is not the first time the group has targeted innocent civilians. They have a history of carrying out brutal attacks on villages, causing fear and instability in the region.

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, has condemned the attack and declared a three-day national mourning period. He has also ordered the military to intensify their efforts in eradicating the ADF and bringing those responsible for this heinous crime to justice.

The international community has also expressed their outrage and condemnation of the attack. The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, strongly condemned the attack and called for the immediate protection of civilians in the region. He also urged the Congolese government to take all necessary measures to bring an end to the violence and ensure the safety of its citizens.

The attack on innocent civilians is a cowardly act and goes against all principles of humanity. The ADF’s actions are not only a threat to the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo but also to the entire world. It is a reminder that terrorism knows no boundaries and can strike at any time, in any place.

The people of the Democratic Republic of Congo have suffered enough. They have endured years of conflict, displacement, and poverty. The recent attack has only added to their suffering and has left many families grieving for their loved ones.

However, in the face of this tragedy, the Congolese people have shown resilience and unity. They have come together to support each other and to condemn the actions of the ADF. They have also shown their determination to stand strong and not let the terrorists win.

The international community must also stand in solidarity with the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is crucial to provide support and assistance to the country in its fight against terrorism. The ADF must be held accountable for their actions, and all measures must be taken to ensure that such attacks do not happen again.

The attack in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism in our world. It is a call for all nations to join hands in the fight against this global menace. We must not let the terrorists win, and we must continue to spread love, unity, and peace in the face of their hatred and violence.

The 71 innocent lives lost in this attack will never be forgotten. They will be remembered as victims of senseless violence and as a reminder of the need for a united front against terrorism. Let us honor their memory by standing together and working towards a world free from the fear of terrorism.
