‘Stranger Things’ Star Finn Wolfhard Says U.S. Is ‘F**king over Indigenous People’ Who Live on ‘Stolen Land’

Canadian actor Finn Wolfhard, best known for his role as Mike Wheeler in the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, recently made a bold statement about the United States and its treatment of Indigenous groups. In an interview with Breitbart, Wolfhard expressed his concern for the Indigenous people living on “stolen land” in the US.

The 17-year-old actor, who is of Canadian and German descent, has been vocal about his support for Indigenous rights and has been actively involved in raising awareness about the issue. In the interview, Wolfhard stated, “The United States is just fucking over so many Indigenous groups. It’s really sad to see how they are being treated on their own land.”

Wolfhard’s comments come at a time when the US is facing increased scrutiny for its treatment of Indigenous communities. The recent protests against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline and the ongoing fight for the protection of sacred Indigenous lands have brought the issue to the forefront of public consciousness.

The actor’s words carry weight, not only because of his fame but also because of his own Indigenous heritage. Wolfhard’s mother is of First Nations descent, and he has always been proud of his Indigenous roots. He has often spoken about the importance of preserving Indigenous cultures and traditions.

Wolfhard’s statement has sparked a debate on social media, with many praising him for using his platform to shed light on the issue. Some have also criticized him for speaking out against the US, a country that has given him fame and success. However, Wolfhard remains firm in his stance and believes that it is his responsibility to use his voice for the greater good.

The actor’s comments have also brought attention to the ongoing struggles faced by Indigenous communities in Canada. Despite being known for its progressive policies, Canada has a long history of mistreating its Indigenous population. From residential schools to the ongoing issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women, the country has a lot to answer for.

Wolfhard’s statement serves as a reminder that the fight for Indigenous rights is not limited to one country but is a global issue. Indigenous communities all over the world have faced and continue to face discrimination, displacement, and violence. It is time for governments to acknowledge and address these injustices.

As an actor, Wolfhard has a large following, especially among young people. His words have the power to inspire and educate his fans, and he is using that power for a greater cause. By speaking out against the mistreatment of Indigenous groups, Wolfhard is not only raising awareness but also encouraging others to take action and stand in solidarity with these communities.

It is heartening to see young celebrities like Wolfhard using their platform to bring attention to important social issues. In a world where many celebrities shy away from controversial topics, it is refreshing to see someone like Wolfhard using his voice for good.

In conclusion, Finn Wolfhard’s statement about the treatment of Indigenous groups in the US is a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggles faced by these communities. His words serve as a call to action for governments to address these issues and for individuals to stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. As fans of Wolfhard, let us not only support him in his career but also in his efforts to bring about positive change in the world.
