Ogles: ‘Globalize the Intifada’ Mayoral Candidate Must Be Deported

June 28, 2025
in Americas

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has called for the Department of Justice to launch an investigation into New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani for possible denaturalization. According to Ogles, Mamdani may have failed to disclose his sympathies or support for individuals convicted of terrorism-related offenses prior to becoming a U.S. citizen.

In a statement released on Monday, Ogles expressed concern over Mamdani’s past statements and actions, which he believes could pose a threat to national security. Ogles specifically pointed to Mamdani’s use of the phrase “globalize the intifada” in a tweet from 2014, which he claims shows support for violent and extremist ideologies.

The term “intifada” refers to a series of uprisings by Palestinians against Israeli occupation, often involving violent protests and attacks. Ogles argues that by using this phrase, Mamdani is promoting a dangerous and radical agenda that goes against American values.

Ogles also highlighted Mamdani’s association with individuals who have been convicted of terrorism-related offenses. Mamdani has previously worked for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization that has been accused of having ties to terrorist groups. He has also expressed support for controversial figures such as Linda Sarsour, who has been accused of promoting anti-Semitic and anti-American views.

According to Ogles, these connections raise serious questions about Mamdani’s loyalty to the United States and his ability to uphold the laws and values of the country. As a U.S. citizen, Mamdani has a responsibility to disclose any affiliations or sympathies that could potentially pose a threat to national security.

Ogles believes that if Mamdani is found to have knowingly concealed this information during the naturalization process, he should be denaturalized and deported from the country. This would not only serve as a warning to others who may have similar intentions, but also send a strong message that the U.S. takes national security very seriously.

The Department of Justice has yet to comment on Ogles’ request for an investigation. However, many are already voicing their support for Ogles’ stance, including members of the Republican party and concerned citizens.

In response to the controversy, Mamdani has denied any wrongdoing and stated that he has always been transparent about his beliefs and associations. He argues that Ogles’ accusations are baseless and politically motivated, and that he is being unfairly targeted because of his Muslim faith.

Despite Mamdani’s denial, Ogles remains firm in his belief that the Department of Justice should thoroughly investigate the matter. He argues that the safety and security of the American people should always be the top priority, and any potential threats must be taken seriously.

In conclusion, Rep. Andy Ogles’ call for an investigation into Zohran Mamdani’s possible denaturalization has sparked a heated debate about national security and the responsibilities of U.S. citizens. While Mamdani maintains his innocence, Ogles and his supporters believe that the potential risks posed by Mamdani’s past statements and associations cannot be ignored. Only time will tell how this situation will unfold, but one thing is for sure – the safety and security of the American people must always come first.
