Exclusive — Rep. Ogles Leads Missive to Speaker Johnson to Pass Trump’s EOs into Law: ‘Less Vacation, More Codification’

May 14, 2025
in Americas

President Donald Trump has been vocal about his commitment to putting America first and his actions have been a testament to this. In order to fulfill his promises, he has signed well over a hundred executive orders to advance his America First agenda. However, despite the progress made through these executive orders, Congress has been lagging behind in codifying these policies into law. This is a major concern that needs to be addressed, and Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) is leading the charge to ensure that these executive orders are made into law.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Rep. Ogles expressed his concerns over the slow progress made by Congress in enacting these executive orders into law. He emphasized the need for Congress to take decisive action rather than going on vacation, in order to effectively codify President Trump’s policies into law. He believes that this is the best way to ensure that the America First agenda is fully implemented and benefits all Americans.

President Trump’s executive orders have covered a wide range of issues such as immigration, healthcare, trade, and national security. These orders have been pivotal in undoing the damage caused by the previous administration and putting America first. The executive orders have also been crucial in promoting economic growth, job creation, and safeguarding the interests of American citizens.

One of the key areas where President Trump’s executive orders have made a significant impact is in immigration. The President’s tough stance on illegal immigration and border security has been clearly reflected in his executive orders. From implementing a travel ban on certain countries to cracking down on illegal immigrants, President Trump’s executive orders have strengthened America’s immigration laws and protected our borders.

In addition, President Trump has used his executive powers to prioritize American citizens and workers in his policies. This was evident in his “Buy American, Hire American” executive order, which aimed at ensuring that American businesses and workers are given preference for jobs and contracts. This has not only created more job opportunities for Americans but has also boosted the economy.

President Trump’s executive orders have also focused on improving the healthcare system in America. His recent executive order promoting price transparency in healthcare has been a game-changer. It requires healthcare providers and insurance companies to disclose their prices to patients, empowering them to make informed decisions and drive down the cost of healthcare. This is just one of the many healthcare-related executive orders signed by the President, which have brought much-needed reforms to the system.

Moreover, in an effort to promote free and fair trade, President Trump has issued executive orders to renegotiate trade deals that have been harmful to America’s interests. His “America First” trade policy has already led to several new trade agreements that benefit American farmers, manufacturers, and workers. The President’s efforts to reduce trade deficits and bring back manufacturing jobs to America have been commendable.

Despite the success of these executive orders, they can only have a lasting impact if they are codified into law. This is where Congress has failed to keep up with the President’s agenda. Representative Ogles and his colleagues have taken note of this and are urging Congress to take action. They have written a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, calling for less vacation and more codification of President Trump’s executive orders into law.

It is vital for Congress to act swiftly and fulfill their duties in making these executive orders into law. Failure to do so would not only hinder the progress made by the Trump Administration but also send a message that Congress is not interested in putting America first. As Representative Ogles rightly puts it, “it is time for Congress to put their rhetoric into action.”

In conclusion, President Trump’s executive orders have been instrumental in advancing the America First agenda and benefiting all Americans. However, in order to solidify these policies and ensure their long-term impact, it is crucial for Congress to take action and codify them into law. Let us hope that Speaker Pelosi and Congress will heed the call to make America first and put the interests of the American people above politics. Together, we can continue to make America great again.
