Peter Schweizer: Activist Judges Buying Time for ‘The Resistance’

March 27, 2025
in Americas

The first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s administration have been a whirlwind of activity, with the new president fulfilling many of his campaign promises and making significant changes to the country’s policies. However, amidst all the progress, there has been a group of individuals who have been trying to hinder the president’s efforts – activist federal judges.

These so-called “men in black” have been using their positions to block and delay the implementation of President Trump’s policies. They have been buying time for what they call “the resistance” – a group of individuals who refuse to accept the outcome of the 2016 election and are determined to undermine the president at every turn.

One of the most vocal critics of these activist judges is Peter Schweizer, a bestselling author and president of the Government Accountability Institute. In a recent article for Breitbart, Schweizer sheds light on the dangerous tactics being employed by these judges and the negative impact they are having on the country.

According to Schweizer, these activist judges are not only disregarding the rule of law, but they are also blatantly ignoring the will of the American people. They are using their positions to push their own political agendas, rather than upholding the Constitution and the laws of the land.

One of the prime examples of this is the travel ban executive order that President Trump issued in his first days in office. The order, which aimed to temporarily halt the entry of individuals from seven countries with known ties to terrorism, was met with immediate resistance from activist judges. They issued injunctions and blocked the order from being implemented, claiming that it was discriminatory and unconstitutional.

However, as Schweizer points out, these judges conveniently ignored the fact that the same travel ban was implemented by former President Obama in 2011, without any legal challenges. This blatant double standard shows that these judges are not interested in upholding the law, but rather in obstructing President Trump’s agenda.

Furthermore, these activist judges have also been using their positions to push their own personal beliefs and agendas. Schweizer highlights the case of Judge James Robart, who issued a nationwide injunction against the travel ban. Robart has a long history of supporting liberal causes and has even donated to the campaign of former President Obama. It is clear that his personal biases are influencing his decisions, rather than the law.

These activist judges are not only causing delays and hindering progress, but they are also wasting taxpayer money. Every time a judge issues an injunction, it costs the government time and resources to fight it in court. This is not only a waste of money, but it also takes away from the important work that needs to be done to move the country forward.

It is time for these activist judges to be held accountable for their actions. They have been using their positions to undermine the president and the will of the American people. It is clear that they are not interested in upholding the law and the Constitution, but rather in pushing their own political agendas.

Fortunately, President Trump is not backing down in the face of this resistance. He has already taken steps to fill vacancies in the federal judiciary with conservative judges who will uphold the law and the Constitution. This is a positive step in the right direction, but more needs to be done to combat the influence of these activist judges.

In conclusion, the new administration of President Donald Trump has been making significant progress in its first 100 days, but it is being met with resistance from activist federal judges. These judges are using their positions to push their own political agendas and obstruct the president’s policies. It is time for them to be held accountable and for the rule of law to be upheld. The American people have spoken, and it is time for these activist judges to listen.
