Hotel Indigo Bath Review: A Stylish Stay in Historic Bath

November 18, 2024
in Travel

Located in the picturesque city of Bath, Hotel Indigo is a hidden gem that offers a unique and unforgettable stay. As someone who has visited Bath many times, I can confidently say that my recent stay at Hotel Indigo has been the best experience yet. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s impeccable service, charming character, and ideal location.

As soon as we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The interior design of the hotel is a perfect blend of modern and traditional styles, with a touch of elegance that is characteristic of Bath. The attention to detail in every corner was impressive, from the stylish furniture to the beautiful artwork on the walls.

Our room was a cozy haven, equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were of high quality, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The room also had a large window that allowed plenty of natural light to filter in, giving it a bright and airy feel. The modern bathroom was spotless and stocked with luxurious toiletries, adding to the overall experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s prime location. Situated just a few minutes away from Bath’s major attractions, we were able to explore the city on foot without having to worry about transportation. The famous Roman Baths, the stunning Bath Abbey, and the charming Pulteney Bridge were all within walking distance from the hotel. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of this UNESCO listed city.

After a day of sightseeing, we were delighted to return to the hotel and indulge in some delicious food at their restaurant, The Elder. The menu offered a variety of dishes, all made with locally sourced ingredients. We were impressed by the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability and their efforts to support local businesses. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch.

What sets Hotel Indigo apart from other hotels is its unique charm and character. The hotel is housed in a beautiful Georgian building that has been carefully restored and retains its original features. The intricate details, such as the high ceilings and ornate cornices, added to the overall grandeur of the hotel. It truly felt like we were staying in a piece of history.

The hotel also has a lovely rooftop bar, The Elderflower, which offers panoramic views of the city. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset while sipping on delicious cocktails. It was the perfect way to end a day of exploring Bath.

In addition to its stunning design and excellent location, Hotel Indigo also impressed us with its commitment to sustainability. The hotel has implemented various eco-friendly practices, such as using energy-efficient lighting, recycling, and reducing waste. As a responsible traveler, it was heartwarming to see a hotel taking steps towards preserving the environment.

Overall, our stay at Hotel Indigo Bath was a truly memorable experience. The hotel’s unique character, ideal location, and exceptional service made it stand out from the rest. We were sad to leave, but we know that this won’t be our last time here. We are already planning our next visit to this charming boutique hotel. It’s safe to say that Hotel Indigo has become our go-to accommodation whenever we visit Bath, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special stay in this beautiful city.

In conclusion, if you’re planning a trip to Bath and looking for a hotel that offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and character, then look no further than Hotel Indigo. You won’t be disappointed. Trust me, I’ve been there many times, and I can’t wait to go back again.
