Within the framework of the Angola 2025 Plan, set by the Angolan government to increase electrification rates using environmentally friendly energy sources, over one million people in 60 communes of Angola will benefit from electricity from the public grid. Continuing the electrification efforts in Angola, an event for the laying of the cornerstone of the Rural Electrification Project in the Province of Moxico took place on the afternoon of Thursday, November 16, in the Municipality of Luau. The ceremony, chaired by the Minister of Energy and Water, alongside the Provincial Governor Ernesto Muangala, and attended by ambassadors from the Republic of Portugal, Francisco Alegre, and the Federal Republic of Germany, Stefan Traumann, as well as renewable energy ambassadors, the Vice-Provincial Governor, and senior officials from the energy sector, including DNNER, PRODE, ENDE, and the Project Patron, the Esteemed Musician Matias Damásio.
